Client: Studio project, in collaboration with Amics de la Gent Gran Foundation

The self-commissioned project arises from this inicial concern: the realisation that Christmas has become a time of the year when we have to buy in order to prove our love.
Wouldn’t it be better if we invested all this time directly to the people we love? If we gave them just that, our time, to spend together or as favours they need.
Isn’t there a better way to show affection and care? When Christmas arrives, we all run around trying to find gifts for our friends and family, dedicating so much time and money.
A set of postcards
We created 50 different postcards with different messages, for different targets or relationships. They are color coded depending on the amount of time that is given: 1 minute, 1 hour, 1 day or one action.
Working with the foundation
We teamed up with Amics de la Gent Gran, a foundation that fights against loneliness and social exclusion towards old people, with a wide network of volunteers that accompany them.
Circular concept: by buying the postcards, people give their time to their loved ones, but also collaborate with the foundation whose volunteers give their time with old people.
The time vouchers contained both charming and cheeky messages as ways of giving time: babysitting one’s children, spending a day together without phones, taking the dog out for a walk when the owner is busy, a night of hardcore partying, one hour of massage after an intense day at work…
There is also a blank card, so that the user can write down how much time the voucher is for, and indicate if it’s for a specific activity. The back side of the cards contains an explanation of the project and the collaboration with the foundation.
